Exec Business English was created around a simple idea: professional English is most valuable when developed alongside the business skills and knowledge needed to use it effectively.

We combine professional English development with practical business coaching and specialist awareness of new and emerging technology. The objective is not simply better English, but greater confidence and effectiveness in the professional situations where English matters.

Services are primarily delivered online, but in-person support can also be arranged, from short visits and meetings to longer on-site engagements where required. 

Effective business communication requires more than the right vocabulary. Presentations, meetings, negotiations and stakeholder relationships require both strong communication and an understanding of the business skills involved.

This is central to our approach: develop the business skill as well as the English needed to apply it.

Exec Business English was founded by Ian Steer, a Level 5 qualified EFL teacher with more than 25 years of professional experience in IT and project management. He has worked all over the world, for recognised companies, as well as on some high priority and technically challenging programmes of work.

This included environments where project delivery, stakeholder communication, meetings and working effectively with clients and colleagues were part of everyday professional life.

This combination of teaching qualification, commercial experience and a long-standing interest in technology shapes the Exec Business English approach.
